I’ve been in an accident, what should I do?
- Stay calm, call emergency services if needed
- Then get as much information as possible
- Note all registration numbers of vehicles
- Note their makes, models and colours
- Get the Names, Addresses, Drivers License and Insurance details of all people involved
- If there are witnesses get their details too
- Note the time, location and situation (i.e. raining, traffic lights not working, speeding etc)
- Brief description of what happened (try to be factual not emotional)
- IMPORTANT: please remember to take photos
What should I do next?
Choose the repairer YOU would like to repair your vehicle. Contact us to arrange a full visual inspection including digital images of the damage. Contact your insurer and lodge a claim and advise them where you would like the vehicle to be repaired.
When getting estimates can I choose my repairer?
Depending on your insurer you may or may not have a choice of repairers. Don't wait until you have to make a claim, to ensure you have this right contact your insurer today.

Do I need to contact a couple of repairers for estimates?
NO. If you are able to choose your preferred repairer you usually only need one estimate. Check with your insurance company.
Can I get an estimate over the phone or internet from you?
NO, because we take your vehicle repairs seriously and want to give you the best price along with taking into account any safety / structural requirements. We prefer to inspect your vehicle to access the full extent of the damage. Please call us for an appointment.
Do I need to inform the insurance company before the repairs are made?
YES. We will liaise with your insurance company to get all the necessary authorities to get your vehicle fixed, where possible. We organise everything for you.
How will I know when my vehicle is fixed and ready to pick up?
Throughout the repair process we are available to keep you informed on the progress of your vehicle. We will discuss with you what information and the timeline of the repair and at any stage answer your questions and concerns.
Are the repairs to my vehicle covered by warranty?
YES. All repairs completed are guaranteed. We subscribe to the Vehicle Repairers code of conduct available at www.abrcode.com.au and provide warranty in accordance with Manufacturers Warranties state for Individual vehicles and components.
How do I know I am getting a quality repair not just a “patch up”?
We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and continual training of all staff. We work with manufacturers, using only recommended parts and procedures, when fixing your vehicle. This ensures you not only get a quality repair job, but are confident that we have taken into account all safety and manufacturers specification requirements, when repairing your vehicle
Do I have to pay the excess on the claim if it’s not my fault?
If you have the details of the other party(s) involved, your excess should not apply, but every claim is different. Your insurance company can confirm the details.
How does the repair work get paid for, do I need to pay anything to you?
If you need to pay the excess then yes, you will pay this to us prior to or upon collection of your vehicle.
What payment methods do you take?
Payment can be made using Cash, In Shop Eftpos using Debit Cards or Visa/Master Card or by contacting our office for Direct Deposit details - please allow 2 working days for the transaction to be processed.
